Stroud Summer School : The Spirit of Dance
Initiated by Dawn Morgan, Director of Shapeshift Dance. A delicious menu of creative, fun and healing events for all ages!

5 Rhythms Dance with Dawn Morgan
You will be led gently into spontaneous expression to a variety of fantastic music. An invitation to free your dance, express the heart, bring peace to the mind and remember the spirit of your dance. Dawn taught her first class in Stroud in 1994 and teaches locally and internationally.

Yoga with Sarah
“I love to dance and am passionate about the benefits of yoga as a way into the body with the potential for a deeper knowing of our true self...a beautiful compliment to the 5 Rhythms!”

DVD, Trance and Chai
One last time, the inspiring film of trance dance from around the world (includes Gabrielle Roth) will be followed by a dance session. This will be the last showing of this film...half price if you’ve seen it before!

Live Drum Wave
Dive into the heartbeat of the Drum, surrender to the ancient power of rhythm, ride the waves of bliss deep into the spirit of your dance. This is a popular event; pre-booking highly recommended.

Contact Improvisation with Tariq and Jamus
A touch based dance exploring sharing weight, rolling, suspending, falling, passive and active, energy and awareness. All welcome. Tariq brings the qualities of centre and presence. Jamus emphasises deep body awareness and the simplicity of connecting to others.

Party night with Mark Kennison and Dawn
Burlesque (drug free) Rave with Chai tea, chocolate cake, strawberries and cream. Progressive psychedelic trance and impromptu cabaret.

The Spirit of Dreams with Kesty
Listen to the teachings of your dreams. Kesty Brings over 10 years of experience training and passion to this work.

Temple Dance with Dawn and friends
We will welcome you into the temple of dance, sensuality and ritual. Appropriate boundaries will be held...as you relax with other Gods and Goddess of lurrve and pleasure!

Dance and Massage with Dawn
A gentle movement and massage session and a Spirit of Dance simple closing ritual.

Louise has 15 years teaching experience, is a mime artist, dancer and movement therapist, she studied Butoh in Japan with Kazou Ohno for 2 years. In the children's dance workshops they will play with rhythm and create a dance. Kids Sunday session in park, weather permitting. In Butoh (Japanese contemporary dance), adults will work with the movement discipline of the martial artist and inspiration from personal and suggested images.

Massage and Energy-Play with Pete Warnock
Explore techniques and energy play for health and vitality with a gifted and experienced practitioner. Pete has 15 years experience; blending elements of eastern and western esoteric practice creating a unique and profound bodywork technique. He is also available for sessions during the Summer School (07929 838667) “I highly recommend a treatment with Pete, as a connoisseur of massage I can say he is amongst the best” Dawn.

Dramatherapy - Behind the Mask With Rachel Perry
“Dramatherapy is a method of play, of discovering, unlocking and working with aspects of the self. The focus is not on performance but on the creative process and having fun!” Rachel is the Founder of Dt Certificate Course at Hawkwood College and runs her own studio Stroud. Booking and payment by 7th July essential for this session!

“Using the Voice in Dance” with Adrian Brett
Actor, 5 Rhythms Dancer and singer, has been teaching voice work for 15years. Come move and express, dance the voice!

Kids sound party with Mark Kennison
Drums and more! Mark’s style is inspiring and a lot of fun,  “come along to his beat-tastic workshop”!!!

Messy Fun and Lantern Making with Sue
An invitation to the magical world of colour form and texture. All welcome.

Prices:
Yoga sessions and childrens sessions: £6 and £5 in advance
Morning and afternoon sessions: £15 and £12 in advance
Evening sessions: £18 and £15 in advance (DVD night £12 or £6)
In advance means payed for by 21st July
Season ticket: £150 non transferable
Childrens season ticket: £20 non transferable
